Stardust, based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess, takes audiences on an adventure in an imaginary world.
A young man named Tristan tries to win the heart of Victoria, the beautiful but cold object of his desire, by going on a quest to retrieve a fallen star. His journey takes him to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond the walls of his village. On his odyssey, Tristan finds the star, which has transformed into a striking girl named Yvaine. However, Tristan is not the only one seeking the star. A king's four living sons - not to mention the ghosts of their three dead brothers - all need the star as they vie for the throne. Tristan must also overcome the evil witch, Lamia, who needs the star to make her young again. As Tristan battles to survive these threats, encountering a pirate named Captain Shakespeare and a shady trader named Ferdy the Fence along the way, his quest changes. He must now win the heart of the star for himself as he discovers the meaning of true love.

Probably the Best family fantasy film since Labrynth.
I can happily watch this again and again, and never get bored. A fantasic mix of new talent and suprising roles for some well known actors. I laughed I cried, I got completely carried away in the film. the 130Minutes You'll ever spend my only gripe is the one trick pony that is Ricky Gervais, but then you can't have everything A must see and own!
Pure Magic!

A brilliant adaptation from the book, jane goldman did well writing the script, despite the opurtunities for cheesy, cringe-worthy speeches there are none. The film retains it originality and is just wonderful. The cast is superb, who could ask for better. Whenever i watch the film as soon as its finished i want to watch it again, and most of the time i do.
For £5 this dvd is well worth it, although the only extras you will find on the disc is an audio commentary by writer jane goldman and directer matthew vaughan....thats a little disappointing but the film isnt. A must-have in any collection, you will want to watch this film all the time if you could.
My advice, buy it! Its more then worth it!

This is a movie that will touch you and make you remember the great and beautiful story forever. It is just the perfect movie for anyone that has no boring scenes in it, no bad acting and no bad sequals to ruin it, like Indiana Jones And Lord Of The Rings.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone for a mear £4.99. For me, this movie is priceless.
2nd favourite film for me. 1st being Highlander (1986).
