Review

No secret will keep for ever... A Vatican priest is found murdered on the shores of Denmark - nailed to a cross in the shadow of Hamlet's castle. He is the first victim in a vicious killing spree that spans the world. Each horrific murder exactly mirrors the crucifixion of Christ... Meanwhile, deep in the Roman Catacombs of Orvieto, an archaeologist uncovers an ancient scroll dating back two thousand years. The scroll, he knows, holds the key to a dark and treacherous secret that will rock the very foundations of the Church. But only if he can decipher its lost meanings - and only if he can live long enough to reveal them... The enemies of the truth know no law of man ...

Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars The Worst Book I've Ever Read

I didn't actually bother finishing this book as I became bored of the terrible writing and patronising tone clearly aimed at its "dumb-American" audience. The characters are stereotypical, one dimensional and undeveloped. The plot is boring and predictable and is clearly a cheap and less intelligent imitation of The Da Vinci Code. The writing is horrendous and you can tell Mr. Kuzneski was thinking "this would make a really great movie" as he wrote, in fact he even says his hero has a "movie star chin". The book is not original and even its characters are carbon copies of stereotypical movie hereos. It is clear that this is just another writer jumping on the Da Vinci band wagon. The book is always trying to be something else, whether it's a film or a book it definitely isn't original or worth your money or your time - keep well away.
